Welcome to
Mahalo Massage NYC!

At Mahalo Massage NYC, we are driven by this core conviction: touch is essential to well-being.

Through Intuitive Massage, we work with you to help you become more aware of the ways you hold your body throughout the day and how these habits create so-called “normal” aches and pains. From the way we sit at work to the way we sleep at night, our routines impact the way our bodies move and feel.

Our goal is for everyone who visits MMNYC to feel seen, heard, and taken care of. Each Intuitive Massage session is a personalized experience effective in reducing stress and/or feeling better in one’s body. Techniques can include but not limited to a combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Craniosacral Therapy, cupping and Myofascial technique.

Let’s work together to help you feel greater ease in your body.

With love from,
The Mahalo Massage NYC Team

RATES & SERVICES

Through intuitive touch grounded in curiosity, presence, and connectivity, we intend to change peoples’ view of what normal feels like in the body.

Every appointment begins with a brief conversation between you and your massage therapist to discuss relevant health history, how you’re feeling, and what your body needs that day.

Intuitive Massage - a blend of massage techniques such as Swedish and deep tissue, where we engage in conversation through therapeutic touch.  Our licensed massage therapists encourage mind-body connection and through this, integration of the self, to promote self-healing.  Talk to your therapist when you arrive to figure out the best custom session for you!

Cupping- Add-on - (with Arlene only)
Cupping is another way to effectively decompress the superficial muscles and increase blood flow. It allows your LMT to access and relax the deeper layers to prepare the body for manual massage in a different way. (Our massage therapist Arlene practices dynamic cupping rather than traditional stationary cupping. ) When selecting this service, cupping will be included in your session as part of the massage. Recommended for 90-minute sessions.

Cupping is not recommended for:

  • Those on blood thinners or an aspirin regimen

  • Those with thin or papery skin

  • Pregnant people

Intuitive Prenatal Massage
- like the above description but tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant people and their changing bodies.  Prenatal session goals: to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation, mobility and help parents-to-be feel good.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST)
-  is a gentle hands-on method used to evaluate and enhance the function of the craniosacral system.  The craniosacral system is the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.  Using a very soft and light touch, this method releases restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the function of the central nervous system.  Its effective in helping to reduce headaches, chronic neck and back pain, orthopedic problems, chronic fatigue, emotional difficulties, stress, TMJ and other problems associated with pain and dysfunction.  A CST session is 50-60 minutes long and is the same price as a 60 minute session. Subject to availability.
